Welcome and Introduction

Dear students, families, and Moore community members,

My name is Scott Stiegler and I'm really excited to serve as your new Superintendent.

First, I want to wish Ms. Denise Chrest the best in her next adventures. She's been an integral part of this school community for 13 years and has left an indelible mark. Ms. Chrest has been very helpful to me during this transition and I want to thank her for everything. Best of luck to you Ms. Chrest!!

I grew up in Frenchtown, Montana. Aside from wrestling season, I enjoy as much time outside as possible. I love exploring western Montana's splendor by attending Griz football games, golfing, water-skiing, hunting, snowmobiling and atv'ing with my family and friends. I've decided that mountain biking and cycling are a great way to get exercise, but I need to get out and ride much more often than I have been.

My lovely wife, Melissa, and I have lived in Florence for 23 years. We recently celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary with our three children, Anna (age 22), Jacob (20), and Sophia (15). I always tease my children and give them a hard time, with lots of love.

I love being an educator! For 23 years, I've been trying to provide children with the best learning experiences possible. I taught middle school for eighteen years and have been a school administrator for five. I've coached wrestling since I was a freshman in high school and am currently a high school wrestling referee with the Montana Officials Association. I’ve also dabbled in coaching football and track & field.

I am so excited to get started at Moore Public School, and I've been working hard to be ready for my first day on the job. I'm on campus every day during regular summer office hours (Mon-Thurs). If you have a chance, please stop by! I'd love to meet you before school starts.

As the summer continues, please be on the lookout for information about the upcoming school year. Check for classroom supply lists, information and updates on the school website and Facebook. I also hope to roll out a couple of other popular social media accounts too, so stay tuned.

It's going to be a great year and I look forward to beginning this journey with you. Here we go!
