In our AIMS (Activities Integrating Math and Science) class we studied about Christopher Columbus and things that float and sink. The kindergarten and first grade students, and their parents, had a homework assignment. They had to design a ship that was powered by wind, was no bigger than their hand, and would float. We had a blast testing whether or not the ships would sail. Every ship stayed afloat! :)

I came to Moore 34 years ago with the thought that I would stay for a couple of years and then move on. I came to love Moore and met my husband, Duane, and this is where we have made our home.
