BPA,FCCLA, FFA News
There will be a BPA, FCCLA, FFA vocational club meeting on Sunday, September 3, at 3 PM for parents and members.
BPA's Fall Leadership Conference is October 8 & 9 in Fairmont Hot Springs. At this time only officers will attend this conference.
School Pictures by Lifetouch are scheduled for October 24. More information will be coming by the end of September. Preschool begins at 8 AM.
Intermediate Word Processing
Grade Levels: Freshmen-Seniors
Length: 1 Year
Class Time: 3rd Period
This class is designed for students who have had some computer instruction. Students will use the touch method of keying letters, numbers, and special characters. Position at the keyboard is stressed throughout the year. Students will use Dell computers and Microsoft Word is the primary program used in class. Students will learn how to do basic troubleshooting. Students will also continue their document formatting skills by setting up personal/business letters, memos, reports, and tables. Accuracy and speed will also be stressed in this business environment. Students will use their formatting skills the second semester to work for Star River Adventures—a rafting company. Excel and PowerPoint will be used while completing work for this company.

Employers have expressed their concern over the lack or readiness or employees to meet workplace expectations. (Montana Focus Groups report, p.1). As Moore Public School desires graduating students to be successful workers, subject matter as well as jobs skills such as communication, punctuality, reliability, honesty, good work ethics, interpersonal skills and initiative will be explored.

It is rare to hear or see ads encouraging people to develop balanced and healthy money habits—particularly when it comes to saving and sharing. Decisions made now can and will affect the income you will earn for the rest of your life.

I graduated from EMC (Eastern Montana College) in Billings, MT with a business education degree. Years later i went back to get my masters degree in technology in education from Lesley College.
Currently i am teaching Accounting, 7th/8th Word Processing, Intermediate Word Processing, Personal Finance, Computer Applications, School Publications, and third-sixth Word Processing.
I am a co-advisor for the Class of 2019. BPA (Business Professionals of America) is another of my advisor's duty. For the past six years I have represented our region as the Region 3 advisor and I have been a BPA advisor for 25 years. Today's students are tomorrow's business professionals.
